FAQs

How often should I see the dentist for a check-up and cleaning?
Most children and adults should see their dentist and hygienist for a regular cleaning and check-up every 6 months. Tobacco and alcohol use, diabetes, pregnancy, periodontal and gum disease, poor oral hygiene are some of the many factors that your dentist takes into consideration when deciding how often you need your dental cleaning and check-up. People at a greater risk of oral diseases should have dental checkups more often.
Is my treatment going to hurt?
We can provide anaesthetics for any treatment that is likely to hurt you. The injection can be uncomfortable but will only take a few seconds. For children, we use a topical anaesthetic on the skin in the mouth which dulls the pin prick feeling of the needle.
How safe are dental x-rays?
Exposure to all sources of radiation including the sun, minerals in the soil, appliances in your home and dental x-rays can damage the body’s tissues and cells and lead to the development of cancer. Fortunately, the dose of radiation you are exposed to during the taking of x-rays is extremely small.

Advances in dentistry over the years have lead to the low radiation levels emitted by dental x-rays. Some of the improvements are new digital x-ray machines that limit the radiation beam to the small area being x-rayed, modern higher speed x-ray films require shorter exposure time compared with older film speeds to get the same results and the use of film holders that keep the film in place in the mouth (which prevents the film from slipping and the need for repeat x-rays and additional radiation exposure).

Which is the best toothpaste to use?
Any toothpaste containing fluoride that you like the flavour of is fine. Fluoride is important because it helps to strengthen tooth enamel, inhibiting tooth decay.
Do I need to use a mouthwash?
It′s up to you whether you choose to use a mouth rinse or not. However it is important to remember that it should not be used instead of a toothbrush, as it won′t clean your teeth for you. Apart from giving you a pleasant taste for a few minutes, most mouthwashes offer no benefits and in fact many are highly acidic, which could gradually erode your tooth enamel.
Is an electric toothbrush more effective than a manual one?
It′s possible to clean your teeth just as well with a manual toothbrush as an electric one. If you choose to use an electric toothbrush, you should still spend four to five minutes each time. It doesn’t clean any quicker – it’s just doing the movement for you. Those who have limited strength or movement in their hands or arms may find it easier to use an electric toothbrush.

Are payment plans available for my treatment?
We have a range of payment plans available to suit you, including 0% payment option, spread over 12 months. You will be provided with all the options in your Welcome Pack, or you can ask at Reception.

Dental Services

Porcelain Veneers

Patients who have a number of chips, cracks, stains, or gaps between teeth visible when they smile may consider Cosmetic Dentistry Veneers.

Dental Bonding
Dental Bonding is used for Cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth. It also can be used to close spaces between teeth, to make teeth look longer or to change the shape or color of teeth.
Teeth Whitening
There are countless Cosmetic Whitening Products available in local stores, but these over the counter options are unable to deliver the results they promise. Our Lauderhill Dental Team offers both in-office and take-home Cosmetic Whitening solutions that brighten smiles up to ten shades.
Dental Emergency

Few things are as scary and painful as a dental emergency. When you need emergency dentistry, Dr. Mark Wilde provides that much needed service in the state-of-the-art dental facility of Luxe Family Dental in Lauderhill, FL.

Dental Bonding

The Dental Bonding is the application of a tooth-colored resin material with adhesives and a high intensity curing light. The procedure gets its name because the materials are attached to the tooth. The joint is generally used for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of a discolored or chipped tooth.

Crown and Bridges

Crowns and dental bridges are more permanent solutions for damaged or missing teeth. They are attached to your own teeth or implants to improve the appearance, alignment or strength of your teeth. Luxe Dental Dentists can work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan and perform crown and bridge dental services to restore your smile and confidence.

Partial Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available: complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Tooth Extractions

A simple extraction of teeth involves the removal of a tooth that is visible in the mouth. This could mean removing a damaged or decayed tooth, or removing teeth before receiving the brakes.

Root Canal

Inside your tooth, under the white enamel and a hard layer called dentin, you will find a soft tissue called pulp. This tissue contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue, which help the root of your tooth grow during its development. A fully developed tooth can survive without the pulp because the tooth continues to be nourished by the tissues that surround it.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are tiny titanium posts and their main objective is to replace any damaged teeth. It is a minimum access surgical procedure that can easily be done in our Lauderhill Dental Office where we have everything necessary and doctors with enough experience to guarantee a pain free procedure. With Dental Implants you have the option to replace one or all of your teeth.

I had been experiencing pain for the past weeks and on top of it we were dealing the COVID-19, which cause a delay in everything. Let me add I also didn’t have any dental insurance, so the price I received was very reasonable. The staff was amazing from start to finish, they make you feel so comfortable. I got my first tooth removed, it was the wisdom tooth at that! I called the office and they got me right on in...my overall experience from a rate of 1-10 with 10 being the highest I’m giving it a 10!!!! If you’re having problems with your teeth, don’t hesitate to contact Luxe Dental very reasonable and friendly...tell them James sent you!
